Kenya Beacon Representative

Anne Babu

Anne smallAnne runs her own law practice and is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a LLB Degree from the University of Nairobi and specializes in employment and commercial law. Her firm curates the only blog in Kenya that is dedicated to employment law: Anne is also involved in training and awareness seminars on employment law.

Anne is passionate about mentorship, which she currently does with law students and associates at her firm. Having worked in one of the country’s top tier law firms, Anne recognizes the need for training and mentorship of the next generation of lawyers. Her focus is on imparting legal skills as well as building character and values. Anne believes that we need Kenyans who value ethics and character more than building wealth.

The Beacon Equity Trust’s mission is, therefore, one that is close to Anne’s heart. How great it is to combine academic success with holistic development in other areas such as governance, leadership, community development and consciousness as well as the arts and sports.

Anne considers herself privileged to be a part of Beacon and she looks forward to interacting with the Scholars and being of positive influence in their destinies.
