The Beacon Scholarship for Schools
For secondary school candidates from KENYA, UGANDA, TANZANIA, and ZAMBIA to Beacon Partner Schools.
- Up to 6 Beacon Scholarships for Schools are offered each academic year for secondary schooling across Beacon Partner Schools.
- Candidates are eligible at any age between 13 to 18 years, and must first be Nominated by their current School Head.
- Eligible candidates will then be invited to complete a full application for a Beacon Scholarship for Schools.
- They must obtain admission to a Beacon Partner School and be evaluated by The Beacon Equity Trust for evidence of academic ability, leadership potential, being a 'Changemaker', and financial need.
Apply for a University Scholarship
The Beacon Scholarship for University
For undergraduate candidates from KENYA, UGANDA, TANZANIA, ZAMBIA, and SOUTH AFRICA to UK Beacon Partner Universities.
- Up to 6 Beacon Scholarships for University are offered each academic year for 3-4 year undergraduate degrees across 5 Beacon Partner Universities.
- Funding does not cover International Foundation Year; Apprenticeship courses; Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Sciences.
- Eligible candidates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and South Africa must be nominated by their School Head and receive an offer of admission from a Beacon Partner University before being invited to apply.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews and leadership assessments.
