Scholarship Availability - University

Generally, there will be a maximum of six new Beacon Scholarships available spread across our five Beacon Partner Universities. Beacon Scholars will continue to be supported for each subsequent year of their undergraduate education, subject to performance.

Register to download a Nomination Form which must be completed by the Head of your current secondary school. Registration is an indication of interest only, and is confidential. No details will be shared with third parties until a full Beacon Scholarship Application Form is formally submitted.

Financial Disclosure

In order for a candidate to qualify for The Beacon Scholarship for University, they and their parents must demonstrate financial need and undertake full and complete financial disclosure.

Parental Commitment

The parent/ guardian commitment is more than financial. Parents must become an active part of the team educating a Beacon Scholar at a university offered through the Beacon Partnerships.

Scholarship Renewal

The Beacon Scholar must apply annually for the renewal of the Scholarship - not later than the Closing Date for Scholarship Continuation. The application will be reviewed by the Beacon Equity Trust in the light of the Award Acceptance Form signed by the Scholar and their parents.

Eligibility Form which must be completed by you and your parents and returned to Beacon, as soon as you receive offer(s) from Beacon Partner Universities

NOTE: BEACON MUST RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATION FORMS BY 15 JANUARY 2025. NO EXTENSIONS ARE POSSIBLE.

Instructions for completion and next steps:

Download both the Nomination Form & the Eligibility Form and save them to your computer.
Send the Nomination Form by email as an attachment to your Head of school explaining that you wish to be nominated for The Beacon Scholarship for University. Ask your Head to complete the form and send it to Beacon (all instructions are supplied with the form).
Beacon will acknowledge receipt of your Nomination by email to your Head copying you. If you have not heard from Beacon within two weeks of sending the Nomination to your Head, please contact your Head to make sure your form has been completed and sent to Beacon. Please do not contact Beacon unless you have first checked with your Head.
When you receive your first offer from a Beacon Partner University, inform us and send us your completed Eligibility Form and a copy of each Beacon Partner University offer letter; you can do this by email to info@beaconscholarship.com.
Once we have received your completed Eligibility Form and copies of your offer(s) from Beacon Partner Universities, eligible candidates will be sent a full Application Form for The Beacon Scholarship for University which you must then complete and submit.
