Gloria Tergat

Gloria largeAttended the London School of Economics and Political Science. Gloria, from Kenya, was a Beacon University Scholar for four years and a Beacon Schools Scholar for five years. Gloria is now working for Warner Bros Discovery as a Pipeline Programme Administrator where she helps lead, manage and support the overall portfolio of talent development programmes within the EMEA region.

She is the Series Producer for a documentary series called 'Black Britain Unspoken' which aims to spotlight stories around the experience of being Black and British today. She also supports the CIC Ourppls in building its capacity as a creative agency at the intersection of creativity, culture, development and wellbeing. Not only has this spurred her passion for community-centred work, but it has also allowed her to reimagine how she can make a difference in the diaspora community through previous passion projects such as 'The Nomadic Child' and 'Dira Dada'.

Gloria graduated with a BSc in Social Policy, achieving a 2.1 overall with a First in her dissertation. She won the David Piachaud Prize, awarded for conspicuous achievement in Prof Piachaud’s field of social security, social exclusion and child poverty. She was chosen to be a consultant in ‘Social Impact Advisory’ at LSE, conducting surveys and interviews, and then reporting her findings back to the university.

Gloria, at the core, is a creative at heart. She is a singer with a diploma in classical singing but a strong love for R&B, neo-soul, jazz and sounds that feel like home.
