Chelsea Mbajo

16 years old, attending Haven of Peace Academy, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Chelsea was awarded a Beacon Scholarship in May 2024.

At school, Chelsea is recognised for her academic achievement, and her effort is noted as outstanding in all subjects. She was awarded the Principal's Honour Roll in 2022 and 2023.

Chelsea enjoys a range of co-curricular activities, including debate, MUN and singing in the Worship Band. She plays football, volleyball and netball for the school teams. She was awarded first place in the Forensics Debate Competition in 2023 and has participated in various World Scholars’ competitions.

As an active member on the Student Council Chelsea has recently held the Vice Principal position. She has a leadership role in Service Learning, managing projects for students in less privileged schools.

Chelsea gets involved with a range of citizenship activities, including working with the Salvation Army supporting children with disabilities and volunteering with an initiative to help nourish infants and their mothers. She volunteers at a primary school helping pupils with their lessons and organising day trips.
