Prince Kiama

14 years old, attending UWC East Africa, Moshi, Tanzania. Prince was awarded a Beacon Scholarship in May 2024.

Prince previously attended Dar es Salaam Independent School, where he received an academic merit award for being the top performing student across Primary and Middle Secondary School. He was most recently awarded Certificates of Outstanding Merit Performance in Science, Maths and English.

Prince represented Dar es Salaam Independent School in basketball and played football and volleyball for his House. He has participated in the World Scholars competition, winning gold and silver medals in the global round. He also enjoys art, debate, drama.

Prince is a well-rounded individual with a strong commitment to community. Leadership positions have included student discipline leader and Form 1 Class Representative – a position elected by his peers.

An engaged citizen, Prince volunteers in community-wide beach cleaning events and supports local orphanages. At school, he participates in fundraising activities such as dress up days, bake sales and sports tournaments.
